About the Role
The Data Analyst Engineer is a crucial part of the data team and is perfect for someone who loves data and analytics. This role will perform a variety of tasks including modelling data to ensure clean data sets are provided to end users, and the the data empowers end users to answer critical business questions. The Data Analyst Engineer spends their time transforming, testing, deploying, and documenting data using advanced technology and forward thinking platforms.
What You Will Do
* Build tables in SQL using dbt.
* Configure a data warehouse or data ingestion tool (like e.g. Fivetran and Snowflake).
* Understand the pros and cons of one data warehouse platform over another.
* Review a teammate or client's code for accuracy, DRYness, and style.
* Construct a report of tables you've built to address a client's needs.
What You Will Need
* Experience designing, implementing and configuring up and/or running infrastructure needed to orchestrate data pipelines
* Experience using SQL to write complex queries that join data across multiple systems
* Proficiency using distributed source control (such as Git)
* Worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve goals
* Experience providing technical mentorship to more junior team members
* Previous experience working in an Agile methodology
* Previous experience working in geographically diverse teams and in a remote environment
