About the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations and strategic management of their designated account. You will lead a large MSP team (on site and remote consultants across multiple countries in EMEA) and act as a role model for excellent client service while delivering on the client's contingent workforce program and expansion.

As a senior member and active leader of the MSP team, the Operations Manager's daily activities may include operational meetings with key client contacts (procurement, HR/TA, power users), oversight of MSP onsite team, monitoring escalations, briefing suppliers and managing the supplier base. Your role will be to elevate the current level of services and drive some significant changes at the user level. Projects and Initiatives will be part of the role too. Specific activities will vary based on client and location.

What You Will Do

*    Ensure smooth delivery in areas of service for your client such as contingent workforce management; Independent Contractor Compliance; Payrolling of client-referred/self-sourced workers; Statement of Work Management; worker on/offboarding and Co-Employment Risk Mitigation
*    Ensure our contractual scope of services is delivered to the highest standards through strong line management, cross training, and regular process review
*    Ensure strong understanding of client and market dynamics among all team members
*    Engage and partner with the Director of Client Services to introduce any new services to the client
*    Manage supplier relationships through close communication and collaboration. Participate in all relevant training programs available internally for business and professional development knowledge
*    Maintain relationships with the VMS partner, colleagues at other client locations, utilizing support and experience to identify suitable improvements to own client processes and services
*    Conduct continuous analysis of Supplier performance via the program Supplier Scorecard methodology.
*    Develop and maintain client relationships through regularly meeting with client Hiring Managers and other users encouraging feedback continuously
*    Contribute to Internal Account Reviews and Quarterly Business Development Plans. Participate in developing account annual forecast and monitor team's delivery according to plan forecasts.
*    Manage MSP team effectively, offering guidance and support as needed to maintain a high performing team
*    Participate in projects and initiatives which enhance the program from a user, sponsor and candidate perspective

What You Will Need

*    Bachelor's degree
*    Previous line management experience of medium sized to large teams (up to 10 reports) in a similar environment (MSP is preferred)
*    Previous experience in managing MSP for complex and large multinationals across multiple countries (ideally white collar, blue collar and professional services)
*    Working knowledge of employment and labor laws in EMEA
*    Extensive vendor management experience with proven results in supply chain management including supplier optimization
*    Experience evaluating and improving process management
*    Fluent in English at a professional level. German will be a plus.
*    Strong communication skills (verbal/written) with the ability to connect effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (suppliers, power users) in face to face and remotely
*    Excellent attention to detail and very organized
*    A growth mindset and agility (ability to handle and drive change)
*    A team spirit with the willingness to upskill, reskill, support direct reports & colleagues
*    A customer-oriented, self-motivated thinker with a 'Can-Do' attitude!
*    Strategic thinking and complex problem-solving skills
