About the Role
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, the BSS Analyst helps drive technology improvements for all of Operations. In this highly dynamic position, the Sr. Analyst partners with Product Management to help implement new technology features and improve current system designs. The Analyst gathers and reviews business requirements, collaborates with Product Management on system enhancements, and leads user acceptance testing of new functionality. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist BSS Management in implementing technology fixes and enhancements for the Operations organization, with a focus on Magnit VMS, the PeopleSoft ERP system and external VMS/ERP integrations.
What You Will Do
• Drive technology improvements by identifying existing system bugs and necessary enhancements.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to understand business requirements for technology needs.
• Propose new/enhanced system features and functionality; with the guidance of BSS management, collaborate with Operations teams and IT to implement new designs.
• Explore system functionality to troubleshoot production issues and educate users on available system features.
• Submit technology enhancements to reduce manual work; follow up on those enhancements and work with BSS management to ensure they are prioritized.
• Identify recurring system issues; replicate issues in test environments and submit product development enhancements as needed.
• Review and provide feedback on Functional Design Documents (FDD) and Software Requirement Specifications (SRS); confirm documents capture business requirements.
• Support functional testing strategies to validate technology solutions; develop test cases and work cooperatively with Operations team members to execute the test cases during user acceptance testing.
• Support BSS management in coordinating tasks for large-scale technology enhancement projects.
• Communicate technology fixes/enhancements to Operations teams and notify them of potential impacts.
• Create and distribute Process Change documents for technology updates.
• Create and distribute monthly release notes to communicate relevant code updates.

What You Will Need
• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years' experience in Financial or Payroll services preferred; alternatively, 2+ years' experience with product development or quality assurance
• Fluent in English
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to all levels of management and staff
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to interact professionally with management and staff in a team environment
• Strong MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Web-based resources
• Demonstrated skills to take initiative; ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Ability to extract key requirements from provided information
• Strong data analysis with ability to generate logical conclusion
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage time to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to propose creative solutions and work with others to implement them
• Ability to remain professional and keep composure when dealing with competing resources and rapidly changing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to recognize inconsistencies
• Efficiency-focused and solutions-oriented with previous experience in problem solving and process improvements
