About the Role

The Configuration Specialist role requires an individual who is self-motivated, flexible, dedicated, and operates efficiently in a demanding environment, and manages high customer expectations well. The individual must be able to multitask between projects while maintaining quality of work. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential along with experience in working in a dynamic team atmosphere. Must be outcome oriented and can coordinate and complete multiple project tasks effectively and conduct/attend meetings in a professional manner.

What You Will Do


*    Perform Vendor Management System (VMS) configurations for new and existing Clients by tracking configuration requests and corresponding core activities; interface with internal application users.
*    Partners with implementation team to recommend and configure the overall client technical workflow ensuring business requirements are met.
*    Perform and complete configuration tasks within test, QA and production environments of various VMS' and other technical systems
*    Utilize and manage ticketing system to complete configuration adjustments and modifications
*    Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and capture meeting notes and action items from internal and/or external configuration meetings
*    Facilitate internal meetings and provide control versions of any necessary documents for meeting(s).
*    Investigate and validate issues and concerns from internal users regarding configuration
*    Coordinate, execute, and deliver multiple concurrent configuration administrative tasks
*    Work with Sr. Configuration Specialist and Configuration Manager to conduct and/or report postmortem and lessons learned
*    Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

What You Will Need
 
*    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress and against tight deadlines
*    Advanced written, verbal, and briefing skills that focus on the ability to convey ideas clearly
*    Strong troubleshooting and time management skills combined with the ability to manage multiple projects and execute engagements to company defined client service standards with a sense of urgency
*    Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality
*    Flexible to support/lead late night and/or weekend deployments to production as required
*    Willingness to take ownership of issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner
*    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment
*    Ability to adjust and adapt to challenges that arise during the Configuration / Implementation process
*    Ability to travel as needed to support customer implementations
*    Sound judgment, clear thought processes
*    Ability to represent the company and self in a positive and professional manner at all times  
*    Prior VMS Software configuration experience, i.e., Beeline, IQN, Fieldglass
*    Proficiency with MS Office
*    2 years of experience with related skills or 1-year internal Magnit experience
*    Additional Qualifications
*    Familiarity with MS Project and Visio a plus
*    Familiarity with VMS programs a plus
