About the Role
Based in the Netherlands and reporting to the HR Business Partner, this position is responsible for providing friendly and supportive HR assistance to 200 employees in DACH & Benelux. This person will be responsible for onboarding, offboarding, employee files, HR queries, payroll notifications and administrative support to the HR Business Partner.
What You Will Do
* Provide 'best in class' customer service to new hires and their managers, working closely with Talent Acquisition and other internal department to deliver stellar support; serve as a 'one-stop-shop' and Magnit ambassador for all new hires and rehires
* Provide staffing support to new starters including new hire assistance with onboarding and 'Day 1' readiness, including coordination of background and right to work checks
* Gather necessary new hire paperwork and maintain employee files
* Set up and process new hires, transfers, promotions, and leavers within SharePoint including contract and offer letter generation for multiple countries
* Produce payroll notifications and reports regularly to capture all people changes
* Answering "level 1' queries (e.g. HR policy, leave/absence and family leave queries) and passing "level 2' queries to HR Business Partner
* Providing administrative support to the HR Business Partner (e.g. headcount reports, sickness and leave tracking)
* Producing confirmation of employment and reference letters
* Perform troubleshooting on a variety of issues that may extend beyond the reach of traditional HR, requiring the ability to network cross-functionally and leverage relationships to support the new hire process
* Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
* Above all; this person must have a friendly and supportive nature, someone who can disarm and de-escalate people issues and provide supportive HR advice and administrative support
* 2+ years' direct experience in HR administration and employee lifecycle management, preferably across multiple countries
* Fluent Dutch and English, German is a nice to have
* 2+ years' experience using a HR system for employee lifecycle issues and maintaining employee files
* Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills (Pivot table, v-lookup and mail merge ability)
* Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make connections and build relationships with internal customers in writing
* Experience resolving complex issues utilising external resources and escalating internally when appropriate
* Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to maintain flexibility and a positive attitude toward innovation and change
* Ability to use deductive reasoning to assess multi-faceted questions and problems
