About the Role
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer develops test plan, test cases and executes tests to verify the correctness of intended functionality. Keep tracks of software defects and collects quality control metrics to characterize quality of the software under testing. The overall quality assurance process includes verifying specifications, performing functional and user interface testing, back-end data verification and documentation.
What You Will Do
- Perform manual and/or automated testing as required
- Proficient in JAVA scripting.
- Hands on experience in Jenkins CI/CD integrations
- Work experience in testing web-services
- Proficient in understanding and writing complex DB queries
- Test all aspects of the web application using multiple methods and tools
- Research issues as they are found
- Document software defects
- Verify defect corrections
- Communicate constantly with developers in support of defect resolution
- Document testing results
- Specification reviews
- Gain a thorough understanding of the application
- Assist other QA Engineers as needed
- Identify and prepare for upcoming tasks
What You Will Need
- Strong experience in software quality assurance and quality control preferably from an enterprise application organization
- Have a solid understanding of QA methodologies, software development life cycle, and release management
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in developing test plan, test cases for various levels of testing and performing functional, UI, sanity and load testing for a web-based enterprise application
- Experience in HRIS application, test automation and RDBMS are highly desired
- Must be familiar with web-server environments, Apache and Linux operating system experience is preferred
- Must be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to work independently and be self-directed
- Have proven problem-solving abilities
Additional Qualifications:
- Work experience in Linux environment is preferred
